From Ripley, go north on us Hwy 62/68 about 7 miles. [NOTE for first several miles Hwys 62 & 68 run together. When the highways split just south of Redoak, (Hwy. 62 veers off to right) continue on Hwy. 68 toward Georgetown.] Continue on Hwy. 68 to Laycock Road (Township road 233). Turn LEFT on Laycock and follow Laycock approximately 1/10 mile to winery. Distance to Meranda-Nixon Winery from Higginsport is about 16 miles. Fine dining & superb wine. Dining hours are 11:30 a.m.-9 p.m. Mon-Thur and 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Reservations recommended, especially in summer or on holiday weekends.

Higginsport LaVigna Estate Winery is currently in it's initial winemaking operation, anticipating production of 60 cases in 2009 and increase to about 1000 cases by 2015.

Georgetown, Ohio Renascent Vineyards, operated by Tom and Kyoko Crush, resides in and around what the Crushs believe is the oldest continually operated winery building in the United States.
