Like many other small villages, instead of having a voluminous set of Ordinances and resolutions that need to be maintained at the village level, the Village of Higginsport has adopted the Ohio Revised Code and the Ohio Basic Code. The Ohio Basic Code expands somewhat on the Ohio Revised Code and encompasses ordinances generally used by smaller municipalities throughout the state of Ohio. Both the Ohio Revised Code and the Ohio Basic Code are searchable data bases. That means that you can enter a search string to find particular areas of interest.

Please note that, pursuant to Section 10.15 of the Ohio Basic Code, the Village of Higginsport may add or repeal provisions of the Ohio Basic Code. The online version of the Ohio Basic Code available at the link above does not reflect such amending legislation.
